How do you disable auto rotation totally my app is supposed to only play in portrait but when i rotate it messes up the game and you can only see half of the screen and the rest is black in landscape. i want it to just stay in portrait. And on the iphone 3GS and 4 my app stays open when i quit and continues running but i want my app to quit when i press home not stay open and manually kill it to quit.

    1. You can set the rotation on each scene
    2. Impossible to disable it, why would you want to?

Oh i thought you could. But i want to cause i have a timer in my app that quits counting when you exit the app. And i want it to quit counting when you press home but the multi tasking throws it off.

In each Scene, in the Scene attributes section, you should check both portrait options. Right side up and right side down.

Do not select the landscape options. When you go to publish the game, select both portrait options as well. Again, don't select the landscape options. This will allow the game to be played right side up or right side down. It should not affect any of your code.

With the introduction of iOS4, apps no longer quit when you hit the Home button. They simply "pause". You have no control over it.

When you are building your game and you need to quit the GS Viewer, double click the home button to open the recent apps and hold down the gs viewer icon until it shakes. then press the minus button. That will let you restart the gs viewer. That is also how you quit any app or game that you don't want to resume.

I'm pretty sure that you have no control over when people quit/resume your app. It should resume exactly as you left it.
