iAds only = no Advertising Identifier?

I just got the following message from apple regarding my first App submission:
"Information Needed
Your iTunes Connect settings indicate that your app serves third-party advertisements. However, we were unable to locate ads in your app.
Please reply to this message to provide the steps for locating third-party ads in your app. When we hear back from you, we will continue the review."

Is this because I supposed to click No when it asked for Advertising Identifier?
I only use iAds banner in my game.

Many thanks
Z

    @fZolee yes,

    the Advertising Identifier is only for 3rd party ad services.

    If you ONLY use iADs, select no for Advertising Identifier.

    Just one more question, I got a reply from them after I explained I use iAd only:
    "Thank you for your response. To answer your question, iAd does not use the AdSupport framework, ASIdentifierManager, or the Advertising Identifier. Therefore they are not required for iAd implementations and should not be included in your app for iAd support.

    If you are planning to incorporate ads in a future version, please remove the Advertising Identifier from your app until you have included ad functionality.

    To help locate the Advertising Identifier, use the “nm” tool. For information on the “nm” tool, please see the nm man page.

    If you do not have access to the libraries' source, you may be able to search the compiled binary using the "strings" or "otool" command line tools. The "strings" tool lists the methods that the library calls, and "otool -ov" will list the Objective-C class structures and their defined methods. These techniques can help you narrow down where the problematic code resides.

    We hope this information is helpful, as we look forward to the further review of the app.
    Best regards.."

    What now? :smiley:
    Resubmit it and click No to Adv. Identifier or there might be a hidden line of code in the file?

    @fZolee, just make sure you ticked the correct options on the GS publishing page. If not, regenerate your app and upload it again to itunes connect. Then choose "no" for Advertising identifier in iTunes connect and submit.

    If the options were correct on the GS publishing page, then just choose "no" for Advertising identifier in iTunes connect and submit.

    @Hopscotch,
    GS options were correct, I will re-submit it and choose "no" for IDFA on iTunes Connect.
    Many thanks!
