Can someone link me the old way of doing custom fonts. Tshirtbooth had a old video. I cant find it.

However, custom fonts are going to be here very soon. I would wait to work on anything related to fonts until the next build and work on other stuff in the game until then. In fact I'm saying I "would" do that, but I am actually doing that.
I even used the GS Forum search engine. And its like all links referenced to those 4 videos has been wiped away. As if they are taboo.

Again, I would just wait. I'm sure that in less than a month the newest version of gamesalad will be out, at which point all you have to do is use the display function and not even worry about custom font workarounds. Just work on other stuff in the game until the next version comes out.
I hope your right. I hope it doesnt come out all buggy and limited.

What was the old method? It's possible I have an old demo file of his but I'm not sure I'd know it by seeing it. Is there a reason the newer method(s) don't work for you?
There are two ways of doing custom fonts. One uses maths to figure out the different digits. This is the method used by tshirtbooth and adapted by DBA and others to avoid needing to align digits/display unused digits. Then there's the method I used which converts the number into a string and displays the relevant digit. DBA's one is just tshirtbooth's with extra features, and mine is just the same thing with a different method.
What is it you can't use about the old methods and what is it you need differently?
What's being asked for is the videos tsb did for gs. Where he explains the steps. Not updated videos. Or videos with someone else's twist on it. I was looking for his videos. They were mentioned a lot back in the day and they were part of the cookbook he helped populate. I can't find them on YouTube. And I can't find the links that were in reference to them with in the gs forum search engine. It's like all reference to them are gone. Could anyone point me to them? I knew I should have ripped them from YouTube when I had the chance.

TSB took down all his original videos.
We used to chat a lot on Skype and it was because he wasn't happy with the new owners of GSHelper charging for his previously free templates and videos and or the way the GS staff treated him towards the end.
All is not lost as we have the guru now for videos aka Lost Oasis Games.

this is post tshirtbooth. this is closer to the new custom font system deepblueapps has out. I cant use this method. I need the old method.
