You can make just about any game with it... aside from MMORPGs and such. It doesn't currently support multiplayer either. I've seen games made with GameSalad in all the genres you've mentioned.

GS can definitely be used for puzzle games. (Shameless self promotion alert) My Puzzle game "Oh Nuts" is currently available on the App Store and it was made with Game Salad.

Check it out here on iTunes...

Here's the youtube video demo -

I've also got a sports related game that has been approved and should go live Monday October 19th. (It was also made with Game Salad)

I actually bought 'oh nuts' and it's quite addictive! :)

    That's the date I chose.

Until Apple fixes the bizarre way they handle release dates I try and pick a date far enough in the future to allow for their black box approval process.

I'm sick and tired of having to baby sit my email so I can change the release date when they approve an app. Which in the case of "Oh Nuts" didn't work. When that app went live it showed up a week in the past on the app store - which is a completely stupid way for Apple to handle application release dates.

    :)

In "theory" I could change the release date and have it appear sooner. But as I stated above, that's what I did with "Oh Nuts" and it didn't work.

Modifying the date doesn't seem to affect an app in review status.

    For the moment :)
