Free to paid applications...

So I've been updating my game for awhile now trying to make it at the level of a paid game. Of course I could make it a paid game now; however I want it to be worth someones buck.
Anyways I'm getting 500 free downloads per day for my game. If I change my game to paid, and make it $.99 then what will likely be my paid downloads? Anyone have any figures that I could work with? Or is it basically random? Could I expect to get 5 downloads per day paid at least?
Thanks,
Ben

I mean if your ranked in the free charts then make it 99c you will auto drop out of the free ranks and be like 2000th or something..i think?
Let us know how you get on if you do decide to charge for it.
Best of luck.
Darren.
A new paid version.
Either treat your free version as a lite or delete it.
You have absolutly nothing to lose by doing this.
As Darren said you drop to the bottom off any sort of rank so noone will find your app other than searching if they know about it or by keywords.
At least with a fresh release you get to be featured on the new releases.
Plus there shouldn't be any ethical issues since you wont be re charging anyone by accident. THe original was free.
In your case, if you wanted to keep the high ranking for your free app you may have to name it SomeFunGame LITE and remove some features, levels, whatever. Then release a NEW app called SomeFunGame - which would have all of the features, levels, etc.
Read through the App Store policy about duplicate games and you may get a better idea of what you can and cannot do.
Good luck!
I would recommend making a paid version of the same app - with at least 1 major feature enhancement. Then put it online for sale. Then, submit an update for your free app (something small, maybe even just 'bug fixes') and advertise in the update that a new premium version is available in the app store.
