Is there pixel collision?

This might be a stupid question, but is there actual pixel collision instead of just rectangle and circle collision on GS?One forum stated that there is no pixel collision feature on but the game BUMPS (A game featured in the forums that looks brilliant) showed balls rolling on wavy lines...

nope not yet :Slets hope GameSalad are working on it!!
(the wavy lines were probably made with many rectangular actors)

Yes, that is created by several invisible collision rectangles rotated to match the waves.

Make the actual graphic of the collision shape in Photoshop or whatever, and set that as your background. Then lay the collision actors on top of it and set their visibility to false.

REAL pixel collision would be nice... like, oh I don't know... EVERY GAME SYSTEM EVER! lol. But yeah, Joe's right, with a bit of mucking around you can pretty much do any shape.

Yeah, I feel that collision is one of the things GS has to update and improve, seeing as a massive chunk of iphone games include bounce physics.

This was one of my very first wishlist items, when I first started using GameSalad.

The current boxes or circles collision system is somewhat restrictive, and can be a pain to use if you want or need complicated or detailed scene collision.

I get why it could be argued that pixel collision might be a bit processor heavy for some devices, but it should be an option.

Maybe some sort of halfway solution.... using definable splines or something would at least be an improvement on just boxes or circles.

As with most things like this.... I'd like to think its already somewhere on the long "To-do" list at Gendai Towers. Would be nice to know for sure though :)

Unless something has changed, the physics engine gamesalad uses, box2d does not support pixel collision.

Box2D does allow custom convex shapes though. Hopefully GameSalad will add in a few more.
