INTRODUCING NOM

NOM the alien has a very high metabolism.
NOM has to eat almost constantly to survive.
But NOM's planet is being bombarded by asteroids.
How long will NOM last?

Made today, in a day. This is the first game I've managed to complete in a while, after several attempts at biting off more than I could chew. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

    MORNING UPDATE

    I've added in a shield function, which helps extend gameplay a bit -

    ANOTHER MORNING UPDATE

    I've changed from having an energy bar on screen to making the actor get thinner as its' energy goes down. It feels easier to follow while you're playing, and hopefully makes sense within the game.

    Also slimmed down collision areas to make gameplay a little bit more satisfying.

    MONDAY UPDATE

    Made a few more changes to the gameplay - it no longer uses the arrow keys, now pressing enter changes direction instead.
