Why not just have restore purchase run automatically instead of a button for it?

If the system can check on the iap screen wether an item is purchased or not, and if there is a game attribute that checks whether your game has purchased this item or not, if the former is true while the game itself is "brand new" after re-installation, why not just run "restore IAP" then? Why the button?

    Apple requires you to have the button.
