When clicking on the actor, you can drag the image onto the actor screen's top left, and the actor is no longer "just a square", but a square with an image.
Now, if you want the actor to have a particular shape (for custom collision purposes) as opposed to just an image, you would need a physics editor. Use the search function for info on the physics editors.
