Amazon market info? Is it useful?

I've recently learned that Apple requires you to have a Mac to publish games. So until I can get one I'm only able to publish elsewhere. I'm looking into Amazon but I don't know much about the market so I came here with some questions.
Whats the point in it if people can just get the app from Google Play? Is it for certain devices only that don't have Google Play or what?
Is it a good market? I've heard stories from people using GS that they have more success on Amazon than Google Play. Is this generally true?
How much is an Amazon developer license?

1) Its better to distribute your app to as many stores as you can so that it reaches more people. Also I dont think amazon kindle devices supports google play so if you upload your app on amazon you will reach kindle users.
2) I dont know about other people but for me i got more downloads in amazon than in google play, dont know if the download numbers shown in amazon is actually true or not lol.
3) developer license is free
What exactly is that?
See your other thread for more. But underground is "You have to make everything free or better than the other stores" but they pay you for every minute people play.
Like my games in Underground have like all game modes unlocked instead of having to unlock them by playing. One has unlockables at a lower price than the other versions. And I have IAPs that are just free points (you have to do this a special way to keep your game interesting and not cheap, but you have to get the reviewers approval too...)
Like I do first IAPs are free then every 10 runs they come back at whatever your high score is
@NNterprises

ah alright I digged.
Thats great:
Note that if a user is engaged with your app but does not have an active data connection, for example, for users who have your app open while in airplane mode, the usage time is logged and sent to Amazon when the mobile device re-connects to WiFi or another data connection.
So even if they normally would turn off wifi to avoid ads you generate money.
Amazon.de
€0.0018 per minute
Admob ( example game creepy)
cpm €0.07 /1000 impressions
0,000077 per Impression which is every 32 seconds
so *2
€0,000154 per minute
HMMM..

Aslong you don't look to sell in-apps. Which a lot of us don't really can rely on anyways.
Can you still have interstitial ads?

@BigDave lol yeah you answered your own questions
The link you gave is in German so don't know why people hate it too much. All my games function equally and the amazon versions have better perks so who knows.
But yes it is worth more to the developer than the other app stores, BUT I believe the audience is a lot less. As always it doesn't hurt as it's free, just a little hurdle when you're coding/publishing and the reviewers are strict
@NNterprises
thanks for the insights!
