level vs game attributes

I am in the final stages of polishing my game. It lags on the iPod touch pretty bad. I was wondering if attributes had anything to do with it? For example would I be better off having all my attributes in under the game, that way it can be referenced by anything in the game? Or would it be better for example to have a lvl 3 time in the lvl 3 scene and not under the game?

Any help would be great.

    I dont think it really matters where they are.
    Attributes don't really kill you. It's what you constrain to them that can be the real factor.

    Games with 200 attributes run fine.
