Default Image for Submitting Game App

So in the indy membership, the default image will be the Gamesalad splash screen right?
When submitting my game via Gamesalad for the app store, do I need to upload the default splash screen or will Gamesalad automatically do that?
And once I submit the game to Gamesalad for Xcode conversion, does gamesalad send it back, and then the next step is to send to the app store to apple right?
I decided to hold off on my Bigger game until the memory issue is resolved, but I put together a kids type game, and one that even the older kids may like, hopefully I'll be submitting it by weeks end!

Is this a grueling process? I'm trying to decide if I should do this tonight, or wait until I have an open day
Gotta make sure the bugs have all been removed from the game too
