Hi All,

If I become a paying member, will I be able to connect up an iPhone/iPad to my Mac and actually test/debug the program by running it on the device? I have not subscribed to the Apple developers program yet.

Cheers !

    Hi tshirtbooth,

Thanks for the prompt reply. So to be absolutely clear, once I pay the $99 for a years subscription I cannot connect the device and expect it to run, I also need to enrol with Apple as well (also around $99/year I believe).

    Cheers

Correct. The app to preview on your device has to be built in xcode and installed on devices that are registered with your development certificate, you don't get that certificate without the $99 to apple.

    Hi StusApps,

Thanks for making it crystal clear now :)

Can I sneek in one last question and that is the $99 that goes to apple, will that only cover one device or multiple devices?

    Cheers

Yeah, the GS Viewer is one of the coolest features of GameSalad!
It allows you to instantly, wirelessly test your games on devices.

And, like tshirtbooth said, you can test on as many devices as you have (up to 100).

All of the connected devices appear in a drop-down menu, letting you choose which device to test on.

This is critical for seeing how your games perform on the older hardware.

And just to reiterate what everyone has already said:

    99$/year to Apple
    99$/year to GameSalad

Once you are signed up, you can release as many Apps as you want to within that year.

    Welcome to GameSalad!
