can't install gamesalad

in Working with GS (Mac)

I've downloaded game salad since I've reformatted my computer, but it won't let me install it. Any reason why?

    I don't have Sierra installed but others are clearly using GameSalad with it. Maybe contact Support on Monday unless someone is able to help you out before then. If you're running anti-virus protection, turn it off and try to download the installer again. It's possible you have an incomplete installer. Or try one of the other stable releases: http://gamesalad.com/download/releases.

    We would need a few more details such as:
    1. What happens when you try to install it? Is there a specific error message that appears?
    2. What OS are you running?

    @tatiang , I'm running OS X 12.1 Sierra.
    When I download it and go to install, I agree to terms of use, then it pulls up a window that has the game salad file in it, but it's a blank icon. I can't install it and nothing happens when I double click it. No error message or anything.
