countdown timer with custom font

Hi, can anyone walk me thru an on-screen countdown timer of 30 seconds that uses my own font for the numbers. also when a certain button is pressed i'd like to increase the time by 15 or 30 seconds. This would also need to be able to be paused and un-paused too.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the reply, i checked out the demo, and i saw the countdown timer but i still dont understand how to use my custom glyphs for a 30 second countdown. anyone? I have them working for the score.....

    Check out FireMapleGames' custom font tutorial, not the countdown one ;)
