self.motion.linear.velocity

I was trying to get my character to jump. I am on a windows computer and in the change attribute folder I can seem to get pull up self.motion.linear.velocity I tried typing it in but that is not an option and everytime I click on the attribute a button it just takes me to attributes and nothing else happens. PLEASE HELP!!!!

    I meant I can't seem to pull up self.motion.linear.velocity.

    Open the expression editor by clicking the little 'e' in the Change Attribute behavior. Then click on the drop-down arrow to open the attribute browser. Click on the name of the actor (e.g. Actor 1), then on Motion, then Linear Velocity, and then on X or Y.

    On a Mac, it looks like this:
