Personally, i think the skull and bones is quite weird for a learning app. Your design choice should not build on what you think looks cool. An idea could be to use the shapes from your logo, i would find them more inspirational?

@Weiyu The skull and cross bones alone would make me curious to read the description and find out more about this app, so I think it is a great attention getter. The other graphics alone would not pique my interest.
