Releasing a game as in individual vs from a company?

I'm curious about when I release my game, if I should do it as a company, or just under my name.

I was thinking about making a little company with a web site and such to release my games under. What do you guys think about this?

What all is involved in make a company for releasing you personal games? Do you need a business license etc?

Thanks for any info!

From memory, I think it cost me about £20 to register the name, and about £180 to check that I could hold the trademark to the name (which I now do).
Then there's about £300 that went into buying GS, and £70 that went to Apple to be part of their dev program.

As a company I can claim these as expenses and not pay tax on them. Additionally, there's certain other advantages that being a company gives me, *personally*. I can't go into details though... sorry!

I personally found it was a lot of hassle and a distraction to just making the games! But I'm glad I did it really!
