Can't Bind Shift Key on PC

After using the Mac version of GameSalad for a couple years, I wanted to try using a PC for GameSalad. Though after figuring out some various differences between the versions, I noticed that I couldn't bind the Shift key to anything. Is this a bug, is there something I'm not doing right, or can you not bind the Shift key on the PC version?
