Sending an actor to the background crashes program

Every time I right click on an actor and select Send Backward, GameSalad crashes, and I mean EVERY time.
Is this a common occurrence for others? I'm trying to get a project done for school and have lost progress to crashes well over a dozen times. The software seems unstable...
