Has Anyone Heard The News?

So, has anyone heard the recent news that the Australian government is trying to pass something that would make it to where Mobile games(which includes the iPhone game apps) would need to be submitted to the Australian Certification Board? What that would mean is, if this thing passes, Mobile games will fall under Australia's current law of "no rating = no sale" in regards to games.

Only problem is, that submitting your game to be reviewed and rated by their Board costs between $470 and $2000.

That means, if this passes, most of us won't be able to sell our games in the Australian App Store. Granted that's not a HUGE loss, because I think we can all agree that the Aussieland is one of our lowest earning regions, but still, it sucks losing a region..... :(

If you guys need more info, it is all in this article:

Shame the US doesn't do that too... might weed out the shovelware pretty quickly... only serious devs would bother going through it all. Although it would count me out... too poor. LOL.

Exactly. I'm a serious dev, but too damn poor as well. :(
