blending modes not working

in Working with GS (Online)

is anyone else having trouble with blending modes... im trying to use the "multiply" blending mode and make the opacity around 50 percent but no matter how i toggle it it will not become somewhat transparent... anyone else having trouble with this?....

    Yes, it's frustrating ... if I remember correctly, the problem is with the image that includes the alpha channel

    Might can try reimporting your image into GS as .jpg or as a .png without an alpha channel.

    Or maybe if your image is actually using the alpha channel (has transparent parts) you can replace the area of transparency with black solid color.

    I just realized this is in the GS Online tool forum. Not sure. Haven't played a ton with online yet.
