iPad game running memory question.

What would a safe total memory usage be on an ipad game.
I'm using a lot of animation which = a lot of images so its pushing the images MB's up furiously.

It is running fine on tests, but I haven't added sound and finalised the mechanics.

Any pointers would be welcome.

    I think it was mentioned around here you should try to keep it under 100mg, but I don't remember the details exactly.

    Chosen is right but I would add that you err towards using even less. For example, the older phones such as the 3G had 128MB of ram, but the OS only left around 40MB free. The iPad, with 256MB probably has 80-100MB free.
