Compress PNG-24 to PNG-24 ?

I tried PNG8 it didn't work out for me (colors got all messed up)
was wondering if there's a way to compress my current PNG images into 24-bit PNG without a loss in quality.
If I can save 20% memory I think it would be worth the effort.
