Particle Effects Simulator Now Free on itch.io
A few years ago I released a Particle Effects Simulator for Gamesalad as a Macintosh stand alone application. Today I decided to move it to itch.io as an HTML5 file and make it free for anyone that wants to use it. If you want to check it out and give it a try you can do so at this link:

Particle Effect Simulator for Gamesalad is a powerful particle effect simulator designed with Gamesalad Creator for use with Gamesalad Creator. Since it is designed using Gamesalad Creator you can be sure that any particle effect you create using the simulator will run within Creator as well.
Using the particle effect simulator is super easy. First choose a particle shape from the list of 20 styles then use the sliders to design the exact effect needed for your game. Once you are satisfied with the look of the particle effect export the data to Gamesalad Creator and see your awesome particle effect in your game!
You’ll have control over:
- The number of particles spawned
- The particles lifetime
- Particle size
- Particle speed
- Particle Color
- Much more!

Great work Jamie. Particle effects has always been a weakness of mine so having a live visual could be extremely handy!

Very handy tool! Thank you Jamie!
Glad you all find it useful. I added a new file for download today to the page. It's a Gamesalad project file that has the various particle shapes already included so you can have the images as well after you've designed an effect.
