I thought i would pass this on as i was experimenting today and noted some intereting results. I am sure someone will pull up a post from the past that talks about this, but ....

I have a game that i have players make a choice and depending on the choice a certian actor spawns.I used one main game scene and had the acotr spawn on that. I destroy that actor and the game begins. With this setup i was getting crazy MB usage for images, to the point the game would sometimes crash. i decided to play around and made each choice go to a different scene and spawn the actor. By doing that, i cut my images MB usage from 50 to 10.......Eveny though i deleted the actor after the choice, it still was taking up a crazy amount of MB.

Anyone else have this experiecne or can add, please do.

It was like a breakthough that i felt i needed to share. ...

Deleting an image will not free up RAM. Once you add an image or sound to a Scene, the RAM goes up and does not drop until you change Scenes.

It certainly makes for a difficult juggling act!
