Hardest thing to learn about GS for beginners?

What have you found to be the greatest challenge in learning GS? I am developing a workshop for high school students/teachers and want to be sure and address the mental models that get in the way of learning to do things the GS way. For example, early on it took me a while to realize that the order of a series of rules listed in GS creator did not necessarily define the order of execution in the game.
What did/do you find hard to understand about the GS way of doing things? What still confuses you about GS as a developer? Thanks ahead of time for your insights.

    What I found hard was understanding how the attributes work, and what you should use them for. Sometimes I still get confused when it comes to attributes. But overtime i've learned essentially when to use these things. Nice idea for a forum by the way.

    What? GameSalad runs behaviors top down, as listed in the actor.
