Hi guys,

I need someone who knows how to make a joystick to download my game template and add a joystick and then send the file to me. I would like the game to have 1 single joystick in the bottom left hand corner which controls the rotation and position of my player, without changing anything I have already done with the game.

Is anyone willing to give it a go for me? I don't mind if you just put codemonkey's joystick controller on it (I don't even know how to do that!), as long as it is functional and doesn't affect any other things in the game.

Please Help!!!
GameCre8tor.

I know I'll probably not be very helpful now, but I suggest that you should try to do it yourself :)
You can really learn a lot about gamesalad with that template, improving your skill and all.
Better to learn, or else you'll have to ask someone to add a joystick for you in every game you want one :D

Just a suggestion though, I think that way you'll be even more satisfied when your game will finally be on the appstore :)

Are we getting paid for this? Or just assembling your game for you?

I tried to do it myself, but I didn't know which bits to add to my game from the template because there are like 5 different methods in the template and I don't know which bits to add! Can someone please talk me through it?

I don't think there are any tutorials or anything. I'd recommend you just dig through it and figure out how it works.Thats how everybody else did it, including me. Or search through the forums because there might be some info.

Go into the scene of the joystick type you want.

Check out which actors are present.

Copy these actors across to your game. (the moving character, joystick, joystick base and five touches).

Add the variables from the demo to your game.

You will have to go in and manually check every attribute in these actors and make sure they match exactly the actors from the demo.

It is not easy, and you will make mistakes. But that's the way to do it!

    Good luck!

    Heh!

The easiest way it so use the demo as a starting point and build your game on that. Adding it later is a real pain.

Asking others to do it for you is a bit off. Someone's already done the *really* hard work for you - Codemonkey!

After that, its really down to the individual!
