Tips for Efficiently Testing Paid GameSalad Templates
Hey everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with a few paid GameSalad templates recently, trying to speed up my prototyping process. One thing I noticed is that testing multiple templates across different devices can be a bit of a headache—especially when you want to see how your game performs under different network conditions.
A friend recommended using proxies for testing so you can simulate different user environments without physically switching devices. I did some digging and found a service called Nsocks that provides a wide range of residential IPs. It helped me check template performance from multiple regions quickly, which was surprisingly useful for debugging and optimizing templates.
Aside from that, I also focus on:
- Checking template assets for consistency
- Testing ad placements without triggering repeated impressions
- Verifying cross-platform functionality
It’s still early days, but combining proxies with careful testing has already saved me hours of trial and error.
Curious to hear if others have similar strategies—how do you make template testing less painful?
