edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
SO i was just finishing up my game this morning and i tested it using the GSViewer and I'm not sure exactly what I did, but something happened between going back to editing mode from the memory screen. All my actor's images disappeared.... I freaked out!!

All the images where black, but thankfully I still had them on the desktop so I recovered all of them.
So everybody remember Gamesalad is still in BETA!! I almost lost all my images :O

scary!

All my images disappeared a few times, and that also freaked me the hell out. However, it appears that the GUI didn't refresh the window or something, and I changed scenes or something like that and they all reappeared.

Yes, it's a beta alright, but isn't life beta, too?

So maybe that means if we pay $2,000 we can get a pro life...

I ve had to click "show contents" of the file and drag the image files into the image folder (a real pain!)

thats happened to me before too, i dunno if i had to do with the way i quit out of the gamesalad viewer, like stopping it on the ipod before stopping it on the mac. tho now i always stop it on the mac before the ipod and it hasnt happened since.

Yes, that happened to me before too, and while uploading the game to the viewer. Real P.I.A!

AND it was a huge game with a ton of assets, so getting the graphics back in there was a real Pain, especially since I had been working on the game for MONTHS!

I would make a backup copy once you start testing out the game, just in case that ever happens!

This, i believe, is caused by hitting save while GS viewer is running.

The image files are getting corrupted, they aren't gone, they just aren't in a state that GameSalad can recognize. My guess is that they are being saved in iPhone format into the project on your desktop when Save is pressed while GS Viewer is running (or just as it launches).
