Certainly not just limited to GS. I recently got involved in having a title pulled from a certain Chinese based studio. Ironically they were bold enough to use someone else's intelectual property (in this case a pretty well known character) in thier game and on the app logo/thumbnail with a trademark. Turned out that the rabbit hole got bigger as the source was also not theirs to use either. Doh!
This is where GS hits a grey area with me that I don't particularly like. All these templates and recycling off of templates, to me is not something I can call my own, so I prefer to work from scratch. I do appreciate the templates as you can use them as a resource to understand how things are constructed etc, but what I see more times than not are GS games based off a template with significant alteration flaws or too little change in the end result. A tutorial is one thing as it takes you step by step and you learn the process as intended, a template while usefull as a shortcut is useless if you don't understand why it was made the way it was in the first place. Why some individuals or self-proclaimed businesses would release anything they don't understand or can get a grasp on into the marketplace, is beyond me. It's like heading to war without a gun.

I've been told that for legal reasons, we cannot give out details.
But I'll say this. Try it. Steal someone's game and publish it as your own.
You won't like the consequences
