Placing quotes in messages

DocJDocJ Member Posts: 66

I've looked through the forum FAQ, and the forum guidelines, but I haven't seen this explained anywhere;
When going through the forums, I see snippets of previous messages enclosed in an outlined box, posted within a message, so as to allow someone to understand what is being referenced.
How do you do that?
Thank you

    Sorry, I just realized it is not forum messages I am concerned with, but rather messages between members. I have a running conversation going on and would like to respond using quotes from previous responses, but notice that there are no options like at the bottom of a forum message.

    I know this sounds like a bit of run on, but if you look at a forum message and something in your inbox, you'll see what I'm referring to.

    Thank you.

    A quote in a personal message? There isn't an option, but you can still manually write it out:

    "> @thisperson12345 said: ..."

    Remove the quotes in the above example and you should be good.
