Can a HTML5 game be played on mobile?

Helloooo, haven't posted here in a while haha

Yeah so I'm just wondering if a game made for HTML5 can be played on an iPhone/Android mobile? Basically, instead of making the game into an app, my client wants a web page that's mobile accessible... Is this possible?

    short answer is yes games made in HTML5 can work on a mobile device.
    however there are some things you need to keep in mind such as,

    only use touch controls,
    memory / resource used (generally mobile browsers aren't as powerful as the desktop due to resource limitations),

    also on ones I have tried sound / music have not worked but this may be down to the browser rights on the mobile device.
