Im the worst artist and game salad newb- please help!

Hi Everyone,

I have this great funny idea for a game and I ran it past a few people and they thought it would be fun. As far as I'm aware its original and I have no desire to make something that has been done a billion times. aka (no offense) flappy bird, angry bird, candy crush.

I use to make fan art waaaaay back with paintshop pro 8.1.. like a billion years ago. Now the problem is.. I can cut and paste like its nobody's business but when it comes to making actual art I'm a total fail. I have so many programs for art but I just can't get what I'm looking for. I guess I'm reaching out to get ideas on what others have done when they just can't make your own art.
Do you hire someone?
If you get assests can you use them, make, publish your game without copyright infringement?
Does this also apply to purchasing templates?

Thank you so much for your assistance!

I have the same problem however I've had to force myself to learn how to make my own graphics. Most of the time I'll take ideas found online and make them my own unique characters.

Yes, you can purchase art from others. Whether or not you can use the artwork in your game is dependent on who you buy it from so make sure you find out. If you purchase a template, the artwork is NOT free for your use unless explicitly stated. Again, just check with the seller.

I have the same problem, I can't make my own art I can copy it but can't make it. I am always in the look for free art packs that are free from copyright. I will leave you some links that can help you.
