@dellagarpo yes that will work well if you want the actor to continue whatever it was doing before, destroying a respawning would reset the actor back to its starting state.

It could be that your actor is in the wrong layer. Go to scenes tab, and layers. If your actor is below a background, or something that can cover it up, it won't appear. Move the actor you want to
