With the html5 version if your assets are too heavy, sometimes they will not load. Like my game would run fine on iPad, but the backgrounds won't load in html5 web version because they were too high q

If your color image pixels are smaller than your full graphic size it will seem like the collision shape doesn't match the image also. You should crop your actors right up to the edge of the visible p

Here's a demo that shows that collision shape affects what you might expect to happen with an actor.

omg I'm an idiot. Thank you. That's what it was. Never even thought of that since I was still able to land on them.

Is that a picture of a single actor or two actors? Are you having a problem with collision detection for both/one of them? How are their collision shapes set?

Do you have multiple layers in the project? If so make sure they are not on a layer that is marked non scrolling.
