    I agree once you reach the 180 mark spawn a new white layer to the top and destroy the other. Like the layers method used to keep any actor above the others.

    Perhaps finding the product of the square of each reel might be uselful. Each payline would have a unique number that is the product of the square of each reel.

    You have a few things going wrong. I don't think that they're spawning on top of each other, you're just not spawning the correct number. However, it may be both!
