iPad doesn't use resolution independence, it's not supported, so it's probably using the smaller graphics and resizing them for the iPad.

I dont think it slows anything down since it used the lower res images on old devices. And I don't have an ipad but from what I understand it used the high res images do when played in 2x mode it is b

So I dropped the price on the ipad version about halfway through these figures as it didn't seem to be grabbing hold in the rankings quite like the iphone version, it seems to have worked.

I would wait for the iPad.

Keep in mind that using the better art is an advantage as when it comes time to make your game for ipad you already have the art that fits.
