Earning money

ShacoShaco Posts: 6Member
My question is... If i post my app i made with game salad on the appstore then the appstore gets 30% of the money i earn. Does Gamesalad charge any money or are those 30% all i have to lose? :D

-thanks

GS doesn't charge any money. Except for the Pro subscription but that's optional :)

Or, if you have Free GS Account, then they will make money on ads in your game (but you won't lose anything).

To your question, the Apple fee is all you have to "lose". If you don't want to "lose" money, publish to the GS Arcade.

Yeah the %30 is actually quite reasonable, to have access to a store with millions of users. And we don't have to manage it, or facilitate the transaction or anything.

I think he meant that this is the only way to avoid paying anyone... does not mean you will make any money.

In most cases, in order to make money you need to spend money... or at least share the profit.
    ...with agree account...
iPhone auto-correction hits again (wild guess ;) ), "...with a free account..."

And you're not losing money. You're paying a 30% fee to use Apple's marketing services. They are not in business to subsidize selling your game.
