# Wheels Join-ed: A work-in-progress method for a wheels type joint

Member Posts: 334
Saw a couple of threads asking about the possibility of joints. Here's a demo project of how joints can be made with motion velocity. It's a work-in-progress, but mostly gets the job done. I need to brush up on some trigonometry and calculus before taking this any further.

As always, great stuff @ericzingeler I could see this being pushed further into a full game easily!

How could I use this but control it using left and right keys?

That's pretty cool. Was toying with the idea of adding a 'driving' section to a particular game. This might come in useful

@Manto1 How did you do yours? The car body and the arrow key controls.

@blue_elephant Here's the project file. The code is not optimized and there are some situations when the body moves unrealistically. In other words it's not perfect, but I'm making it better.

Finally got to play with this. very cool!!! It might help me bring an old project back to life.

It's not my fault I never learned to take responsibility for anything.

Updated it a bit.

- More realistic wheels. They rotate instead of setting velocity.x & y
- Drive types
- Ice

Btw, do you mind if I am posting these on your thread @ericzingeler?
