Hello Everyone...I have created a series of tutorials to create your

Apple Developer and Distribution Certificates

App ID's

Ad Hoc and Distribution Provisioning Profiles

Signing your App using Game Salad Publishing

Creating your app and preparing for app submission to Apple in iTunes Connect

Im not a pro...I may remake them as needed or get blasted for not having a radio voice or cool graphics...it IS HD if you choose so the video it at least clear....very clear.

I hope these help....see the link below to a playlist to the YouTube Channel specifically for my Tutorials

Any suggestions or comment will be appreciated.

Thanks so much-- these are extremely esy to follow, and I appreciate tohe honest way you talk-- if something doesn't go right, you discuss it and fix it.

    Again, great job.

Have a Problem, just wondering if you could help.
I have followed all of your tutorials on youtube generating certificates, app ids, and provision profiles.
My problem is when I go to sing my app in gamesalad in the App signing settings it only shows my iOS team provisioning Profile? if I sign with this it is rejected!!!
there is no option to sign with the ones that I produced using the tutorials.....??
    Can you give any advice.

I'm having the same problem as Uplink. It only shows team provisioning profile.

As a test, I deleted that profile from my iPad, but GS still thinks it's there. Where does GS pull the profiles from?

    Sorry for the double post, but if Uplink's having the same problem as me, then this could be the solution;

    When you're making the App ID, you're asked to throw in a Bundle Domain. This may seem obvious to most people but;

this ID you create (the com.blop.bloop bit) needs to be used in the GameSalad publlishing too!

So when you come to publish the app on GS, type in the same com.blop.bloop into the Bundle Identifier field. This help Gamesalad known that the app you're signing belongs to the certificates you've got installed. (I guess)

    Hope that help you Uplink!

Below is a link to a page Apple has regarding when and why you use a team profile. Best I can tell...and I'm not exactly sure....you can have a team profile that each team member can then load the game on their...(their) devices and you can to...(on yours).

When you go to publish this final cut...your app you should...I believe, make a new provisioning profile...non team profile with a new app bundle and then a single person would upload the game/app.

So my recommendation is make a new provisioning profile and app bundle for this game and use that one...make it a distribution profile and date it...

    Example. Com.blip.blappbloop073114

Hope I am right...not 100% sure as I have never felt with or made a team profile...and unless you are working with a team member I see no reason to have one. Personally the GS file can be traded between peeps...sent via email...and if possible use test flight to test on multiple devices now so that's my loop hole fix.

Will give it a try tomorrow, to busy at the moment at work

Thought I would get back to you on my issue.....
Well, I deleted all my old certificates and profiles, and started from scratch.
That did the trick, certificates and provisioning profiles now displayed in xCode and was able to sign and upload to app store....
Also there was a problem when uploading where it would stop on verifying meta data with iTunes, and it would go no further, the soloution to this was to disable my firewall until it had uploaded, then start it again. seems that the new app loader which I take is version 2.9.1 was always asking for outbound TCP 443? anyway all done...

Thanks David - I must say I 100% wholeheartedly recommend new Mac GS'ers looking to publish or build/test on devices to check these out as soon as you can! - I was completely lost, bewildered, and apprehensive about the whole signing, provisioning, certifcates, etc side of things, until I found these...

So.... I grabbed a cuppa, sat down, and watched these really helpful tutorials, and they have honestly helped me MASSIVELY - made it a doddle....

Massive respect to taking the time and effort to help us new guys (and perhaps those of us around longer, who have been avoiding it!) with a clear, easy-to-follow, and down-to-earth guide to this otherwise hard to understand part of the publishing process David... :)

@Thunder_Child 5* for each video. I only publish or update every few months so inevitably there are changes to the Provisioning Portal or to iTunes Connect in the meantime that stump me and take time to figure out. These videos are really helpful and will bring me up to date with the current procedure as I am poised to publish again now that 13.14 is sorted out and sort of stable. :)

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343

Hello peeps...I have added 3 more tutorials about publishing and now includes a tutorial on the new testflight procedures.

I made a new post but probably should have just added to this thread...sorry mods...feel free to merge or delete my newest thread...for those who don't know I have created a pretty comprehensive set of tutorials....I have now added them to my playlist....a total of 11 tutorials !! :-)

Here is the link to those tutorials.

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343

It was just requested via YouTube subscriber Wes ****** that I make a tutorial now...showing how to upload and chose a second...newer version to testflight. I'll just be gettin right on that one. As well as direct testing via Xcode.

    !!!More to come!!!

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343

    Just added another tutorial...

This one is to adhoc your game directly to your device via Xcode
