I'd recommend looking at games like blowup!! (which is bloody addictive) and Bit Trip Beat to see how others are integrating sound and music into gameplay itself.
I do enjoy trying out your games, and I think it's awesome you're producing so much stuff for others to try out.
And I'll tell you something else. When everyone else has given up on the app store because they can't make any money and gone home, you'll be the last one left. Probably in a well paid game design position somewhere!
I have played Bit Trip Beat so I see what you are saying. As for this game I wanted to take a piece of music and build a game around it
I like to make my ideas come to life in one way or another.
I really don't do it for the money(would be nice someday) I do it for the art of it, I think the real money is going to come from the toy company part of B-Side.

I know, right? It's one of the small handful of games that I think to myself 'I wish *I'd* made that!'
ON topic though, do you see what they've done with the music? It's three tracks, but building the layers up as you play is genius. The music becomes a signifier of your progress!
12956 for my top score. The music stopped playing completely after i defeated the 1st boss type baddie! Also, with how its set up to shoot my fingers were killing having to wiggle left and right. Fun to play though so well done
The music stops after 5 min and 30 sec that is how long it takes to play a perfect game. I let the player play on so they still have a chance to learn everything.

I did notice that if I 'wiggled' left and right, I got to shoot more...

You fire every time you move from left to right or right to left.
