What are the odds?
I feel little lightheaded....
Wow, really? Guess I should send an link to this thread to show him how dedicated you are to making great games:p
Koda89 said: So yeah, now that I get the feeling that I'm not welcomed here anymore I'll just continue on what I was planning on doing earlier anyways, so, again, thanks for the help and advice, and so long. I won't be back to these forums, ever. And I do mean it this time.
Dude, you being a total jackass. Nobody here is doing anything other than trying to help you.
You say your an artist, but you can't make art.
I say I'm not an artist, but I can.
You say you can't get good music.
I say I can get it for free.
You say you have no money.
I say you have $284 or ($184?)
If you REALLY care, take that money, don't spend it and I have a good idea.
REINVEST IN YOUR BUSINESS.
Also you can make good art, that doesn't require skill. You can make good art using basic shapes. Fucking Magic. Thats what I'm doing. I'm releasing Afterburn soon and the only money I've spent on that project is the $35 I spent on paying Ian for the app icon.
I put my time energy sweat and blood into that project and only spent $35. Its going to make me more than that. I'll be back with sales numbers. I hope you grow up by then.
Hello again. You're older than me!! and you know that. There's no excuse for "not being able to draw on the computer". I'm in the same situation as you. (Maybe worse cuz I can't draw on paper T_T) Although I cant draw, I can still make games.
Here's some great tips (from a young boy)
1. Draw on paper and color with color pencil. Then scan. (Jonathan Mulcahy always do that) and everyone of his game is a success!! You can only draw the background if you want. Sometimes I think that graphic arts and Doodle Background goes pretty well togerther.
2. I don't have a mouse, and is not planning on buying one. I always draw my games in Photoshop on my MacBook Pro TrackPad. Check out my doodle games. (http://bit.ly/9zcqxC) They are all hand drawn in Photoshop. Don't think too much, KIS it (keep it simple.)
3. Adobe Illustrator Clipping Mask. The graphic in one of my games, Wood Chuck! (http://bit.ly/cagy2r) are totally done with Clipping Mask. If you don't know how, Google It. It's super simple. You draw a shape (WITH A SHAPE TOOL) then place it over your desire texture and VOLA!!! You got a great actor for your game.
4. Make apps without drawings. Weswog came out with Safari Animals HD with no drawing!! My Factastic app also has no drawing. (all graphic are from royalty free websites) and the best of all. They take no more than 12 hours to finish!!!

Dude, I really don't have money. I was paid $170 of my $284 by Apple last month and spent it all already on gas, food, and paying for things for school. My checking account has a whopping 9 cents in it. That's all I freaking have. Apple has all my other money.

Nononononononono, I am listening. It is just this guy is saying I have money I know for a damn fact I don't.
Why don't just write in the app description: "I can't afford an mouse, thats why the graphics suck in this game. But it's a really cool game. Buy it! I need the money!"
Ok, seriously I get it, I was an ass, now stop it. I'll never make another game again until I can perfectly recreate The Last Supper in under one minute in my sleep whilst clenching the mouse between my ass cheeks.

While I did get a chuckle at that last comment I dont we should rag on anyone even if they are being less than appropriate.
Koda is frustrated and we have all been there.
It's tough feeling like you've hit a wall.
It's not him I think it's just a problem with a new generation that has everything at the click of a mouse.
When you have everything it's frustrating when all of a sudden there is something you can't get in thirty seconds.
15 years ago you couldn't dabble in game creation
Now it's just in your face pretending to be easy
And it is but quality is not as simple
Koda, take your time and read before you ask questions
Lime how to delete an app.
It's in the instructions and terms you agreed to.
Don't be afraid to take your time. Don't afraid to sit back and take something in for weeks before trying it. You are still productive even when you are not actually using the mouse.
If you study Photoshop for a month before your next attempt you are still four years ahead of lots of people.
Pretty amazing what some people have managed to do with that software. A helluva lot more limited than GS... which just brings out the creativity. I'm having fun with it, myself ;-)
I had no idea SEUCK was ever released on C64, that must have been interesting to use (did the c64 ever have a mouse?).
I had the amiga version and used to make lots with it when I was about 9 or 10. I remember spending weeks trying to make a beat em up before realising my idea was well beyond my skills and probably the software. (kinda like a few people here...)
Nah, joystick all the way! I think it was released on C64 first... I may be wrong.
EDIT" The C64 DID have a mouse but it wasn't used much and I don't think SEUCK supported it. I'm currently messing around with it on an emulator and once you get used to the keyboard shortcuts, the USB D-Pad is actually great for editing! Perfect for pixel painting those big chunky sprites!

Not to mention there are thousands of tutorials for everything.
PS. Were starting a club
/dropped it.
you don't need to pay anyone!!
1. Graphic: use royalty free websites, they have a ton. You can even contact the artist, sometimes they let you use it for free, but with credit.
2. Sound: Use Apple Loop or GarageBand. Piano with String are the best combination.
