+1 Been to other forum *cough corona* and it's community doesn't seem as active online as GS forum is and no real complete or almost complete app tutorials with someone to help explain when u don't understand like we have here so IMHO this community is the strengh of GS also
Ps bet it took less than 10 minutes to make up that update so I would think that GS could afford to have one person on their team to spare 5-10 minutes every other week just to post something even if it's just saying we working hard on next release with a tenitive eta of __/__/2010 I think this would make everyone alot happier
I'm kidding. I suspect that 0.9 will arrive before the end of October. Will it arrive before the end of September? I think so... otherwise the NYC meet-up might be awkward.
Ha ha ha ha ha Hey photic u up to beta test my game I'm not quite ready yet and there's no game play yet just want to make sure everything else is right first cause I have 3 unfinished games where I started with game play and got board doing menues and all so taking a different approach this time to keep me interested I have a very short attention span don't know why I used to play games for hours now if a game holds my attention for a couple days I'm doing good

Yeah, corona's forum aren't as lively as Gs one. But in those, admins almost always answer question, and even help you if you're having troubles There's a code section, that's like the template section of gs, though it hasn't as much templates. And an example section to see how to properly use almost every important api. For everything else about lua itself, just search on google for tutorials. Though it sucks that people aren't as friendly/lively. I love lurking forums, and I still come here most of the time, GS forum is great!
I really hope this Gamesalad update will be big. It obviously can't catch up to Corona (or any other engine) with only one update, but the fact that they are writing all the memory management things from scratch is great. Overall performance are the top priority for me. Game Center support would be great, but I want to be more free to make any genre of game it comes to my mind.
I'm loving mine. The HD recorder is what made me give in. You get a Phone, Digital Camera, HD Video Recorder, a Portable Game Console, a Video/Music player, and a Web Browser all for $199. (Mine = 16GB.)
Wow, I think I should actually work on my own games before testing others. I just bought some new artwork just yesterday. I haven't even started working with it yet.

I noticed that the Corona admins are quite active on their forums. Their icon reminds me of the rebel alliance insignia from Star Wars. I respect that. Alas, I missed out on the $99 pricing. I'm not really in the mood to pay $349 for their software. I could spend a little more and upgrade to CS5... use more industry standard software.

Apple really out did them selves on this one. I think the 3GS was just a refresh. iPhone 5 will be a simple refresh, then iPhone 6 will be like the 4 was, a major upgrade.
