Copycats! I updated http://photics.com tonight. Not too long after finishing, I checked the GameSalad website. There was a new main image. It stated, "Something's Cooking at GameSalad."

Hey! I am still waiting for some fuzzy sheep earmuff merchandise. You do realize that it is getting on close to winter here in Canada?

Check out the Publishing section.
Sorry, back to the kitchen with me...
In the gaming world, I have difficulty remembering a situation where I waited a long -- and unspecific -- amount of time for software to be released where I wasn't disappointed.
Guild Wars 2... um... no... after 3 years I simply don't care. I could play it tomorrow night, but that's lower on my list of things to do than clipping my toenails.
Duke Nukem Forever... at least it was properly titled.
I seem to be unable to recall a situation where unspecific waiting for a gaming event was actually a good thing. Movies could also be related to this issue. I waited almost two decades for a new Star Wars movie. It was ruined by Jar Jar.
It seems like the hype is getting too big. Pause isn't that spectacular. Having software not crash is nice, but it's not "BIG". It's only been two months of development time... and didn't someone leave the team recently? Is the big update really that spectacular? I'm becoming skeptical.
Seriously, what could that mean?
Regardless, I'm freakin pumped!

Pause work!
All my development has been Paused!
in ios 4, I can pause my game using the home button!
Reading that section on publishing....does that mean that all things will now be published by them (and not us)....that's not a good look!
or have I misunderstood the "...get your game ready for submission in MINUTES..." quote
?
or....
the fact that the buy option is gone(?) could mean that they are moving over to a per-build pricing model.
Regarding the price part, I interpret that as a change to the pricing scheme (hopefully cheaper).
So if you buy now the pro version for 2000 usd and next week the new version of pro will cost 500 (god help us ) than they would have to reimburse you which I think is a hassle.
Just my 2 cents
Btw, the stagnation was what worried me the most, now that things are moving (even just a little) I'm optimistic again.
...now it's in interest of Gendai Games to get moving with their big update. Without the ability for people to actually buy the software, it might get hard to keep the lights on in Austin, Texas. HA.
I better get moving with my other projects. It seems that a GameSalad update is close. Maybe they're waiting for 10/10/10 day... like the Sega Dreamcast... 9/9/99.
I'd still like to know how I can purchase another license...

...because now it's not even an option. HA HA!
