By becoming the YouTube of iPhone games?

This is apples and oranges. Building game is not the same as pressing a button and uploading a home movie to youTube.

iPhone devices are complicated devices and they constantly change. I just don't think the numbers of new users out there are substantial. And serious devs will avoid this new pricing model like the plague.

So GS in one move has closed the door to any devs building games or apps...all 50K of them. And the general game enthusiast public is fairly stupid...and lazy (when it comes to having the motivation and skill to program a game's logic and design the art for it)...and generally do not want to make games. So you are left with a comparatively small amount of people with the knack or the interest in making games. Lots want to play them...few want to make them.

And of those that like making games...how many own an iPod? How many own a Mac? How many want to drop $20 to submit one to the app store?

Most can't even get users to spend more than $1 to play one...and GS expects to have people shell out tons of $$$ to make them?

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. GS will die sooner than later...unless they have some magic potion cooking...but I doubt any type of serum will inoculate devs from the distaste of the publisher model they have chosen as their core business.

Well stated once again. Can't think of a better way to communicate the demise that will be gamesalad if they don't change their plan.
