I managed to get quite a bit more done over the past few days. (it's not in this video)
The lift controls now fully work, and take you to different floors with an animated lift display (going up, going down, and floor numbers), also the lift doors open, with proper lift sound effects. I'm yet to make any of the floors to explore.
Also added a main menu button to the main game screen after Firemaples suggestion. And created cool CCTV style loading screen. And fixed a long list of little bugs and reduced project size. Also added Revolting Peasants music to the main menu.
I'm sure I'll be working on it for months yet...but hopefully it will be worth it...trying to stay focused on making good visuals and user experience.

Have you invested this much in a game before? The most I've ever invested in a game is about $40, so that seems absurd to me! Haha

Its all my artists fault for this one! Costs should have been way less, but she is charging me for every single detail done in the animations and all. I learned my lesson though. Nothing I can do about it now except move forward

I dunno, people charging for the work they do... What ever next..
Ian's stuff always looks great. But it is an incentive to learn illustrator yourself...even if its ok to tweak images you get sent yourself.
I bought some of my artists work on istock as a starting point, and then to keep the style the same throughout the game i contacted her to do some custom work for me. She charges around $75 an hour, which is why everything costs so much
P.s. I am a horrible artist. I could try learning it for years and my art would still be an epic fail!
I've been working in two updates at the same time, just release 2.0 for balloons Tap Rush and still working on Pinsoccer... as well as making a new title... let see how it goes..
I heard about this program completely through word of mouth, and by using Game Salad I feel like I've taken my first step into a world of endless possibilities. I know this isn't really thread relevant, but after seeing a lot of these amazing ideas in this thread I just felt like I needed to share my feelings.
You guys are all doing things that are so amazing and I aspire to be as good as you guys one day!

Hi, I working on 2 games, both to be finished sometime this year (or else my lava lamp gets it...):
A platformer called Glub and the Organitron Caves and an adventure game called Ancient Ones Discovery.
(There's a puzzle to solve to get through the door in the final version).
@Arton: Yikes! Next time use Ian, or another artist to do the work, that's waaaaayy too much for graphics like that! $75 an hour is probably the going rate, but still too much nonetheless....
I'm working on a physics-based machine making games. I had to make a way to make sticks drag out in straight lines, so when I finished that part, I made a demo for it here: http://gamesalad.com/game/7960
I'm working on a game called MechaSlayer where you are a human stuck in a mecha world and you become the apprentice of the great MechaSlayer. It is kind a platform game. Here are some sample graphics of it : http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=15248

It's inspiring isn't it!?! I couldn't agree with you more. I am DEF a noob, and thought I was way in over my head the first time I downloaded GS. But here I am 3 months later, 2 games in (first one scrapped to work on 2nd), and almost ready for publishing! Can't wait!
