    Wow, that's awesome!

Will it be a separate product which you will sell or are you trying to add it to GS so it already has the functionality?

We hope GS will make us an offer otherwise we will be forced to sell it direct and via the Mac store which honestly guys is the last thing we want because we want this to be available to everyone.

No news yet from yesterdays meeting but the guys all love it so fingers crossed.

    Darren.

Why would that be a bad thing? The program has value to those that need it and it would help promote GameSalad. I'm thinking that the Mac App Store is a great way to promote GameSalad. If the main software can't get there, the Merge Projects Program is the next best thing.

Come on GS, get this available to us for 0.9.1, even if its pro only, we've certainly been starved of features for a long time now!

Well I hope they make you that offer... as its well deserved... and would make a huge impact as part of a future GS update.

I hope they dont drag their feet too long though....

Also, what are you asking for? Perhaps another arrangement could be made. I think there is an option in-between The Mac App Store and GameSalad. Perhaps the community could make donations, where enough money could be raised for you to turn the Merge Projects Program into an open source project. Of course, if that happened, it would only be a few steps away from a GameSalad to Corona converter.

I'm thinking that this software could be duplicated in about a month. So, if you're asking for less than it would cost to pay someone to recreate it, then I think GameSalad should go for it. You're one of the star players here. They should try to keep you happy and encourage you to keep making awesome stuff.

But what if you're not asking for money?!

    What else could Darren want?!

    ...certain behaviors?
    ...certain features fast-tracked?
    ...a GameSalad market?

Even if you asked for $5,000... Game Center in the next version... and a GameSalad market where you pay no commission for one year... I still think they should give it to you. GameSalad needs to strengthen the community. GameSalad needs to pick up the pace. Something like this helps them.

Will you be willing to start selling it directly via the forum?

I think everyone who wants it should email GS and tell them so!

    :)

I agree. What email address should I be formulating an email towards?

Probably the contact form. I received an email back from that contact form a while back and it was from

    helpdesk@gendaigames.com

Dont know if that would get to the right people or not.

    Id buy it right NOW!
I cant wait to get my hand on it darren :)

Yes me too. As much as it would hurt to have to pay for it. Financially hurt. I think it would be money well spent.

    Think of the possibilities

You want to test out a new way of unlocking levels so you create a blank project work it all out and then don't have to recreate all the rules and stuff once you figure it just click click and your done. Oh the thought of efficiency just makes me smile. :)

I can't wait to throw together Darren's platform template with the Canabalt thingy, a few FMG templates and .... you just never know ... think I'll call it the FrankenProject! (Just add electricity! ... and me own graphics of course).

Just kiddin' .. I also think the separate test setup and then merge when working will be a huge help.

Darren and Wayne, this is nothing short of FANTABULOUS! What an incredible accomplishment that you are rightly proud of!

I get all giddy just thinking about the countless hours of time this will free up. Thank you, and here's to seeing it all come to fruition!

I wonder if all the GS delays are caused by internal politics. Maybe there is a guy at the top who does not understand the words "community" or "communication matters". It will be their loss.
