Forget about Bumps iPad i don't think i could of done it so many levels so many mini games i would of gotten lost.
As for a price if someone told me they will make Bumps and RW on iPad for $5000 i would snap there arm off and think i got an excellent deal.
All i know is you will be getting a bargain what ever we sell it for.
Darren.
It would be great Darren if you answer my questions from my previous post in this topic. Thanks in advance!

It would be pretty hard to make a game with one less arm.
TheMoonwalls said: OMG that's awesome news, I love you Darren! I want to make an iPad version of my game, and I don't have time to work on the entire game again! I watched the video, but still have few questions (because I don't know if I understand everything): 1. Is your app able to take the iPhone game (GS project) and changed it to the iPad game (and everything works fine)? 2. Does it change the scene sizes, actor sizes (even sizes like that: 134.466?), positions and math in the behaviors (f.e. if attribute game.xxx is 1, then change the position to: xxxx), and what about instances? 3. And what about the graphics, I'm sure that we need to change them ourselves, but should we put them in the game before using your app, or after that? 4. When your app will be available? 5. If you need some funds, me (and I'm sure that not only me) can pay you for this app right now, and just get it when it's ready.
Hope to hear from you soon!
1) Not everythimg at this stage please see the video, i had to change the X Y position of an actor because i have code that told it to move a certain position in the Y but this is something we're working on.
2) Everthing but some attributes like i mention in the video for eg if i had a change attribute change size.Width to 100 in one of my actors i would need to manually change the 100 but the actor would be in the correct place on the scene.
3) It scales the art up to iPad but again like i mentioned in the video a perfect circle in your iPhone game will look off when converted to iPad.
4) It's very early days and we want to fix all of the above issues before release.
5) Thanks please forward $10k
One option i would personally like in this one is an option per actor so i can change my 480x320 BG actor to 1024x768 but keep my ball actor round by changing it from iPhone 64x64 to iPad 128x128 so basically a check box that resizes 2xs original size if unchecked.
More news as soon as we can guys....back to testing.
A little more Information on the GS Project Resizer:
- Resize Scenes, Camera, Origin, Tracking, Actors, Prototypes, Instances. - Adjusts Size, Scale, Positions of all Actors and Instances. - Intelligent Resizing of objects ie: Equal sized objects are scaled in ratio. - Inner Behaviour values Size, Position, Random etc - values will be adjusted where possible. - Finished Project is fully functional, but may require a small amount of re-work. - iPad, iPhone, 720p HD, Mac Store (when available) Scaling between all systems.
Also, lots of questions, but just to extend on Darren's responses.
@Mintmomeg: Android conversion is not really feasible form the data held within a GS Project file.
@QuantumSheep: Mac Store resizing will be included in the initial launch version.
@MDD: 720p HD size will be included (time permitting).
@Tendrmer I/we agree GameSalad should include these types of tools along with the other 8 tools we have planned in development. As GS updates, we will try our best to update or [Project Apps] accordingly. Note: GS 0.8.6 to 0.9.0 contain slightly different XML constructs within the core projects. To overcome this I've developed an XML extraction tool which allows us to quickly evolve as GS does.
@TheMoonWalls: Scene, Camera, Origin, Tracking, Actors, Prototypes, Instances, Size, Scale, Position all adjusted accordingly. We are working on the software changing 'inner behaviour' values (we will do our best to adjust them all). All values Integers, Doubles, Real etc - all values are rounded to 2 decimal places. The graphics are scaled up within GameSalad - but would suggest users use highres Retina graphics or replace afterwards. The App will be available very soon, but we need to test more.
@Hunnenkoenig Thanks for the positive comments - I am working on a 'Super App' - wink - wink! We would put all the PROJECT APPS into one, but the price would go up, and some users would not use all the tools - we would prefer at present to release the PROJECT APPS as separate entities.
@Gabbyr The value of the app will be established nearer release - soon.
@Hunnenkoenig Thanks for the positive comments - I am working on a 'Super App' - wink - wink!
I am serious!
Make a second GS. There is a huge market for it and you really don't need to be "honorable". If GS can't do the work, they don't deserve to stay in the business.
The better wins. (points at Yahoo - Google. GS had the idea, they execute it poor. The next one, who picks it up and do it better, will reign the market)
You guys have put more onto the table within weeks, than GS in one year.
And I say it not with anger or hate. I only state the facts.
Really! MAKE A COMPETITIVE SOFTWARE TO GS! Don't waste your talent to GS!

OMG Wayne you have just provided better customer service than I have ever seen from a GameSalad Response in my nearly 6 months on this forum. to hell with waiting for GS to pick this stuff up. I'm buying as soon as I can afford it. and when you develop your own drag and drop developer I will be right there too.
I think a big thank you must go out the the GS team, don't forget if it wasn't for them working hard behind the scenes for all these years GS would not be here today and it's only because they're busy working on Game Center and other exciting features that they're not bringing you these things themselves.
The Merger and Resizer has been made to enhance an already brilliant engine and we believe the next few months will be an exciting time for GS members.
Definite buy from me, you may have just saved my life.
I was worrying for a while if I would be able to convert my current iphone game to ipad in time...this will actually allow me to do something like that.
Thanks so much for this, and once again you just saved me
+1 .. I had a project that I shelved as it would be best with bigger real estate on an iPad which I don't yet have to test. Reopened that project today and plan to complete for the iPhone and use the Resizer to create the iPad version when its ready, clean it up a bit and launch both together. (Previously that thought was daunting and thus why I put it aside).
Brilliant, I was just thinking about this the other day that there should be a toolset. I was looking at Gravonaut and thinking about how huge of a work load it would be to convert it to ipad or mac store, this software would save me tons of work. Kudos Darren!
Now I gotta buy an iPad first :P But I'm sold on this.
@utopiangames sorry to say, but I think staying with GS actually holds you back. You guys have tons of talent and it seems that you will be better served on a more flexible platform. I read your game reviews on the App Store and every time someone says something bad, I can trace it to a GS issue.
yea, this project resizer is going to be awesome. my current game is designed for the iPad, so moving it to the iPhone would have been a pain, but if this comes out in the next month or so, I can probably target a combined iPad / iPhone / Mac App launch
An istant buy. With this even if you haven't planned to do a different version of your game, with just a click you can have a quick look at how it would look like.
@Wayneh: You're mean, now I want to know what are the other 8 tools
This tool is amazing Darren , cant wait to buy it!
i have a question: it resizes everything , but the results is not whole numbers , (like 68.16) , and the same happens for the X and Y values , isnt that make the image blur on GS engine?
wait... it looks awesome, and correct me if im wrong, but cant people just download an iphone app onto the ipad and click the '2X' button, and it will automatically resize it to the ipad screen?
BramHoskin said: wait... it looks awesome, and correct me if im wrong, but cant people just download an iphone app onto the ipad and click the '2X' button, and it will automatically resize it to the ipad screen?
Hey, yes, you can do that but unless it is a "must have right now" app, people are not willing to put up with the gnome look featuring jaggeddy edges which result from the upscaling.
The other day, I needed an audio tuner and the best choice for my ipad was a free iphone app. The reason why the size did not bother me is that the function the app can perform was more important than the look. With games on the other hand, the issue is reversed. It has to look nice.
Basically, once that tool is available, it would be best to create the artwork for the largest application and let this software "down size" it. Downsizing is usually never a problem but upsizing by a factor of two or more is not pretty.

I don't buy iPhone games for my iPad i like to buy iPad games for my iPad.
This gives you a fast and easy way to have an iPad version of you iPhone game or visa versa and a double chance of making money.
Darren.

Yes you can play Iphone game on an ipad but the upscale does not fill out the screen it will display as 960x640 and unless you have done a Resolution independence game the art will look awful as well.

Missed!
He's saying that previously, he would have considered paying 5k to convert two games.
Now he's offering a conversion tool that will be far far cheaper and will take a fraction of the time.
He's trying to emphasise the personal value this tool brings to him, and hopefully others.

Sorry if I am skeptical...
Having said that... please don't leave
Great work guys, really looking forward to this one getting released.
Seems like the forum has degenerated into GS bashing at the mo...even when it's on a positive thread like this one
aaaanyways
nice work boys.
