edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
I was trying to find the old threads on this topic and it was taking too long. So I decided to make a new one. What is everyone working on?
- templates
- art
- games
- anything really

Just post what you are working on. You don't have to go into detail because I know some members will take eachothers ideas. lol. But lets keep this topic up and going. Ill start

I am working on some "test" graphics to get the feel of other styles in illustrator and am about to start a major project with someone.

I think it has much more than I need!

My apps are REALY REALLY simple. Basically, I am just recreating stuff I've done last year with Flash.

As long as I can add a button, attach a sound to it and make an image transparent (or vice verse) and navigate between scenes i have all I need.

If you work on games, it is quite a bit more complex than that.

Lua is not that much different from AS3 so i'm just scanning for the relevant parts.

I've been working on a bubble breaker game. This is my first game so I'm still learning quite a bit about the GS features and such. Hopefully it'll be done in a few more days (I do like the GS though, things seem to make sense and have been going fairly smoothly).

    Hey All;

Working on 2 games and 2 apps right now in GS.

Game 1 is a reworking of Pong, single player using the accelometer for control, epic battle of Left vs. Right.

Game 2 is something new, I haven't seen anything like it out there before, single player using the accelometer for control.
(Think Disney's Blackhole meets Bob the Builder)

App 1 is a simple emergency tool. Really just part of the learning process.

App 2 is a way to relax and let go of your worries. Destress and let your worries be taken care of for you.

Guess I shouldn't say "Working on... right now", as I had to gice the iMac a frend lent me back and am waiting on $$$ for a new Mac, but I am doing the graphics, story boards and making a paper trail for the behaviors and attributes in GS. I hope to have a Mac again within a month.

    Ciao

Waiting on Spelunkeldunk to be reviewed, but I just finished an update that adds the pause feature. Also added a different play modes (TAP or HOLD mode) for swinging on the rocks. Also added a mute music button, a button that switches the brightness of your headlamp and and instruction menu.

Tweaking Fallman and will be publishing it soon.

Just today I also finished my game using Darren's "Shadow Run" template, will be publishing it this weekend.

just the picture reminded me of it. thats all. yes, they are both very popular games on the appstore. I am not saying your game is like that, that screen shot just reminded me of it.

I'm working my first GS game which is an 8-bit styled space shuttle game that is inspired by the old Activision Space Shuttle game from the early 80s.

I've been loaded with school work that I can barely work on my games anymore. I only get about 1-2 hours a day to work now, and thats at around 2-3am, which at that point I am beyond tired and brain dead. So progress is going really slowly for me. Hopefully ill be able to find some time soon.

Here is a small teaser vid. It's still in very early stages, missing sounds, voice overs, and some artwork, but I think you'll get the idea. Its a game similar to monkey preschool lunchbox, which I first started off just as an experiment to see if GS could handle such a game.

Sorry if the vid looks choppy and laggy, my videos always come out bad.

Current project started from Darren's canabalt template and just playing around with it. It's now turning into something quite interesting, I'll show when I get the character animation art done (it's taking a while).
